Overview

The Nightcliff Community Bank sponsors organisations and activities that support our local community, building community strength and capacity.

Since opening in September 2008, Nightcliff Community Bank has provided more than $1,000,000.00 to support various local organizations.

Objectives

The program provides financial assistance to:

  • Carry out projects that benefit our local community
  • Encourage community participation in activities that build a sense of community
  • Organisations and activities targeting environmental sustainability, youth and community programs, and health and wellbeing in the first instance, but organisations and activities addressing other areas of community need will also be considered where need is demonstrated.

Application Process

Applicants must provide information on their organisation and the proposed activities, and must show how the funding will benefit the local community. There will always be more worthwhile causes than there is funds available so applicants are encouraged to discuss their proposals with the branch manager before submitting a formal application.

All eligible applications will be assessed by the Marketing and Sponsorship Committee, using a standard evaluation tool. The committee’s recommendations will be referred to the Nightcliff Community Enterprise Ltd Board for approval.

Applications must be submitted online.

Three different application forms are available to provide appropriate documentation for funding requests:

  • Small sponsorships or donations of less than $1000

Sometimes the passion and enthusiasm of volunteers can be much more effective with the help of a small amount of funding. If this is your situation, fill out a simple online application here.

  • Partnership Grants  ($1001 to $10,000)

Most funding falls into this category, helping community organisations, schools and clubs continue or expand their services while providing exposure and growth opportunities for the Nightcliff Community Bank.

As the bank grows the opportunity to return more to the community increases and effective partnerships are an important part of this cycle.

  • Large Community Projects

Here we are looking at projects which may take some planning to develop and secure funding may be required to get anything off the ground. Probably other funding sources and government will be involved as well, requiring documentation to ensure all legal requirements are met.

Please use this form to introduce your project concept to the NEC Board of Directors.
