Seniors of Excellence NT was established in 2014 by President & Founder,
Michael F Foley OAM.
Our mission is to recognise, acknowledge and celebrate Senior Territorians aged 65+ who have given, and in many instances, still give a significant amount of their personal time voluntarily to Charities, Community Service Organisations and other Community Organisations throughout the NT. They are people who deliver assistance and support to our citizens in need including the aged, infirm, the homeless and the hungary.
These amazing people are all around us and quietly go about their lives giving, caring, supporting without any expectation or recognition.
Seniors of Excellence NT does not have a winner in our Award Program.
All nominations received which meet the simple criterea of being at least 65 years old and having significantly volunteered their time and/or resources throughout their lives to help those in need, directly or indirectly, are honoured as a Senior of Excellence.
At the completion of the 2023 presentations our wonderful family of Seniors of Excellence recipients will number 165 amazing citizens.
There is no doubt this incedible result is something to shout about, but there are still many more wonderful people out there we need to honour.
We depend on you, good people, to send your nominations in to us each year. You know them, they are members of your family, they are your friends, work mates, neighbours and colleagues. Please give them the acknowledgement they so deserve.
You can nominate them at any time throughout the year and together we will honour them on the last Sunday of August, Seniors Month, as a Senior of Excellence.
We would like to thank all those who support this program in kind and financially, Channel 9, Impajara, NT Government, National Flags and Community Bank Nightcliff.
